Logistics company coming
Frank Gray | Journal Gazette
A Cincinnati-based freight logistics company will open at Washington Square shopping center in June and is expected to create 50 to 75 jobs in the next three years.
Total Quality Logistics is a business-to-business operation, linking freight carriers with businesses that need things shipped. It handles arrangements for trucks, pickup and delivery of shipments and rates.
The company, which has a target opening date of June 27, already has a team of five in place. It may hire and train a couple of additional workers before the opening.
The company started in 1997 as a two-man operation. It now has 3,800 employees in 46 offices in 20 states. The Fort Wayne operation will be the fourth office in Indiana.
Starting salary for most employees will be about $35,000.
