The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded a five-year, nearly $8.5 million contract to UK-based Ultra Electronics Precision Air & Land Systems. The majority of work will be performed in Columbia City.
The contract calls for the repair of high-pressure pure air generators used on various aircraft. The DOD says 70 percent of the work will take place at the Ultra Electronics USSI facility in Columbia City. The remainder of the work will be performed in Gloucestershire, United Kingdom.
Work is expected to be complete by February 2022. The Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia is the contracting activity.
