New Interactive Art Installation Tells The Fort Wayne Story
By Julia Meek | WBOI
The Fort Wayne Museum of Art's newest exhibit, by Brett Amory, is a residency work in progress that allows the public to interact with the California-based artist, and the installation itself, all this month.
It's called "Fort Wayne, American Monologue," and through oil paintings, an evolving "movie-set" type installation, and a variety of local ephemera, it is, in the artist's own words, "A show about Fort Wayne, for the people of Fort Wayne."
WBOI's Julia Meek met with Amory, and show curator, Josef Zimmerman, earlier this week, to discuss the many factors involved in creating such powerful, community-driven artwork.
