Parkview Field was voted “Best of the Ballparks” in low-A Tuesday after fan voting at BallparkDigest.com.
The Fort Wayne stadium faced off against Four Winds Field, the home stadium of fellow Midwest League team the South Bend Cubs, in the finals. Parkview Field earned 62 percent of the vote.
“WE did it,” the TinCaps said on Twitter. “And by WE, we mean everyone who took time to vote and help spread the word for us. ... We truly appreciate your support. This is for everyone in the @CityofFortWayne and our region to be proud of.”
Parkview Field also won the competition in 2016, while Four Winds Field won in 2017. The competition began in 2015, and the TinCaps' home stadium is the first to win twice. The contest included all the stadiums from the Midwest League and the South Atlantic League, encompassing 30 ballparks in all.
