Partnership optimistic after trip to Germany
A recent business trip to Germany has yielded more than 100 new contacts for the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, officials announced Thursday.
Four staff members made the weeklong sales trip to develop business leads. Their itinerary included participating in a major industrial trade show that attracted 5,200 exhibitors. Northeast Indiana is home to nearly 70 international businesses with 12 from Germany.
The Regional Partnership’s goal is to increase business investment in the region.
Alan Tio, the Regional Partnership’s senior vice president, made the trip. His team plans to follow up with many of the contacts this fall at the International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago.
“As we build, market and sell northeast Indiana to increase business investment, it’s our job to ensure that northeast Indiana remains a top contender for international businesses looking to expand or relocate,” he said in a statement. “The contacts we made in Germany will move our strategy and region forward in the global marketplace.”
